Virginia Mills | Readiness Violin

Virginia Mills has over 25 years of experience as a string music educator including private, public school, and collegiate level teaching and conducting.  She founded the Harrison County, WV public school string instrumental music program and county-wide youth orchestras.  Committed to making a difference in the lives of young people through music, Virginia has taught for the past several years with Strings for Success at School 19 in the Rochester City School District.  Before moving to New York, Virginia performed violin with numerous orchestras including the Charleston, WV Opera and Ballet Orchestras, the Chicago Civic Orchestra, and the Lexington Philharmonic.  She is currently in her 29th season playing in the Penfield Symphony Orchestra.  Virginia holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from West Virginia University, and a Master of Arts degree from Wheaton (IL) Graduate School.
