Gateways Music Festival Young Musicians Institute: String Jam
The Young Musicians Institute (YMI), led by a distinguished team of educators and musicians, offers a full-day immersive experience for young string players in Rochester. Under the guidance of GMF’s Director of Programs Armand Hall, RPO Assistant Conductor Jerrhard Hardeman, and teaching artists Joshua Henderson, Alexandria Hill, Jennifer Arnold, Angelique Montes, and Anthiony Morris, students will engage in a dynamic and creative day of music-making.
The day will culminate in a share-out JAM on the stage of Kilbourn Hall, where the students and their teaching artists will present their collaborative compositions to an audience of family, friends, and invited community.
