Max D’Amico | Drum Set & Music Theory

Max D’Amico is a genre-blending producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with professional experience as a private instructor, sideman, band leader and engineer for a wide variety of contrasting musical styles. Gigging professionally since the age of 13, Max has experience entertaining all types of crowds, cultures, and audiences from playing in churches, coffee shops, dingy dive bars and festivals, to jazz clubs and auditoriums; if it has to do with music, he likely knows a thing or two about it. He is proficient in a large number of instruments including bass guitar, drum set, piano, guitar, and voice. Because of his experience filling so many different roles, Max has an intimate understanding of the larger picture of music from both a live music and a writing and producing perspective.

Since high school, Max used every available resource to perfect his craft as much as possible. On top of his gigs with different musical groups, he attended numerous summer programs and after school activities such as talent shows and competitions, interning as an audio engineer, a scholarship only education in classical guitar, arranging his school’s alma mater, attending all district choir, and rehearsing for credit in private study classes during school hours. All of this hard work resulted in his acceptance to Berklee College of Music in Boston where he was exposed to some of the best musicians in the industry and studied under Jazz legends such as Mick Goodrick, Kenny Werner, and Victor Wooten.
