Deepti Kumar | Voice and Piano RMC and Electives
Deepti Kumar is a senior Soprano undergraduate majoring in Vocal Music Education and Brain & Cognitive Sciences at the Eastman School of Music/University of Rochester. She recently joined the faculty at ROCMusic Collaborative and is thrilled to be a part of such an important program. Deepti is passionate about giving music education to all students and is an advocate for students of color. Her favorite things to teach are private voice lessons, choir, and general music.
Deepti also holds a faculty position at the Eastman Community Music School in the Early Childhood Department. Additionally, she is President of Eastman Nafme Collegiate Chapter 50 and through that she is able to host advocacy events on topics such as diversifying repertoire, and how to teach diverse populations in public schools. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity.
Deepti has experience in arts administration and was an intern at PointCounterpoint Chamber Music Camp, focusing on public relations/web design. Her favorite repertoire to perform is french art songs and arias.
