Andrew Cashner | Beginning Keyboard & Keyboard Elective

Andrew Cashner studied piano performance at Lawrence University and the New England Conservatory of Music, and organ performance at the University of Notre Dame. He earned the PhD in the history and theory of music from the University of Chicago in 2015. He has served as music director for numerous churches and he has composed and arranged numerous works for piano and chorus. He has taught music at the University of Rochester and the University of Southern California. As a musicologist he has published research on religious music in colonial Mexico and Spain, and on music in the history of science and computing. He is currently coauthoring a digital book and website on the Earth Songs of the Seneca Nation in collaboration with Seneca singer and faithkeeper Bill Crouse, Sr. For more information, visit http://www.andrewcashner.com/.
